Born in Toronto, Alessia Magnotta debuted her first painting on a Limited Edition wine bottle produced by her family's winery. A graduate from the University of Toronto, Alessia was inspired to produce this piece, entitled "II muro dell'amore", when she visited the House of Juliet in Verona, Italy. The famous balcony of Juliet and its walls are heavily laden with bold statements of love, marriage proposals and promises of the everlasting expressed in colourful graffiti style. Her vision was to capture the wall of love that marvels and inspires tourists from around the world and the city of Verona which is tingled with the energy of Romeo and Juliet.
